Welcome.

Experience the transformative properties of sourdough.

Better for gut health, better for mental health.

Better For Me.

Sharing a journey to better

Gut Health

We’ve been asked many times—a store centred on sourdough? Really? Yes, yes and yes. We are convinced by science that microbes are the key link between food and our gut and mental health. The simple truth is—we are in a symbiotic relationship with microbes. The more diversity in your bakes, the more robust your gut microbe. The more robust your gut microbe, the more benefits for your mental health. The sooner we can appreciate this relationship, the more we can do to eat better, perform better, live better.

Meet Anna

Also known affectionately as SouperChef Anna at The Soup Spoon, she’s behind our entire sourdough-forward menu to celebrate all that is nourishing, comforting and holistic. Her sojourns into sourdough-making during the Circuit Breaker period brought her to a healthier place, both physically and mentally, even inspiring her to take a sourdough nutrition and digestibility diploma course from The Sourdough School.

Our Philosophy

Anchored by a philosophy of being “Better for Me”, Anna’s aims to be an exciting experience for a community of mindful, health-conscious diners who care about the provenance of their food, as well as an educational space for bakers starting on their sourdough journey. Whatever you may choose to order here at Anna’s is anchored by the philosophy of being “Better for Me”, so we can all eat better, perform better, live better.

Food taste is acceptable. But the price is on a premium side, which for me does not reflect on the food being served. They charge 10% service charge but need to order via QR code. Despise those restaurants that have the cheeks to add service charge but have to order via QR code, kiosk, tablet etc.Add on, the food price listed on the menu is not included GST, so expect to pay 19% extra of the total bill with no service provided...

Anna's is a charming spot that exceeded our expectations! We opted for the diversity board, which was fantastic, and the sourdough bread was exceptionally soft with distinct flavors for each variety. The standout for us was the Okara-na - it was so impressive that we ended up buying a whole loaf to take home. Their black garlic butter is also a must-try!The service was top-notch, thanks to Nadiah, who was friendly and patient when I asked for recommendations. Definitely we will visit here again!

Anna's, a charming cafe and bakery specializing in sourdough, has been on my radar for ages. Finally, Donkey and I had the chance to experience its magic, and it lived up to the hype.A Cozy and Intimate Setting:The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a cozy and spacious atmosphere. The cafe felt like a hidden gem tucked away in Punggol, offering a relaxed and intimate dining experience. We were the only diners for a while, which added to the peaceful ambiance. It's also worth noting that Anna's is a halal-friendly restaurant.Sourdough Delights:Our culinary journey began with the Tomato Bisque, served with a generous slice of their signature sourdough bread. The soup was flavorful and comforting, while the sourdough was a perfect balance of crusty exterior and soft, chewy interior. It was clear that sourdough was their specialty!Main Course Marvels:For our main courses, Donkey opted for the Anna's Steak and Eggs, while I chose the Anna's Beef Ragu. Donkey's steak was cooked to his liking, near-medium rare, and the black garlic spread was a delightful touch. The steak was tender and juicy, enhanced by the accompanying chili sauce. As for the Beef Ragu, I was absolutely smitten. The flavors and textures were truly exceptional, and Donkey couldn't resist trying a bite, agreeing that it was excellent.Sweet Indulgences:We also enjoyed a refreshing Iced Caramel Macchiato, although Donkey found it a bit too sweet for his taste (I, however, loved it!).Sourdough Perfection:The sourdough bread at Anna's was a true star. The bread accompanying our soup and steak was fantastic, especially with the black garlic spread. I even went back for seconds, and the staff were kind enough to happily provide another serving!Overall Impression:Anna's is a fantastic choice for a casual and delicious dinner in Punggol. The service was excellent, the ambiance was cozy and charming, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food. Anna's felt like a hidden gem – a restaurant that could easily be found in Orchard or the city, but nestled in a unique setting within Oasis Terrace. We're giving this establishment a 5-star rating for its delicious food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere.Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Kitty and I were eager to try Anna's, a charming cafe and bakery specializing in sourdough, located in Oasis Terrace. She'd been wanting to visit for a while, and we finally made it for dinner. We were delighted to find a cozy and spacious atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed evening. As we entered, we noticed only two other diners, making for a peaceful and intimate dining experience. Anna's is also halal-friendly, which is great to know.We started with the Tomato Bisque, which came with a delicious sourdough bread. The soup was flavorful and comforting, and the sourdough was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. For our main courses, I chose the Anna's Steak and Eggs, and Kitty ordered the Anna's Beef Ragu. My steak was cooked to near-medium rare, which was perfect, and the black garlic spread provided was a delightful addition. The steak was tender and juicy, and the chili sauce that came with it added a nice kick. Kitty absolutely loved the Beef Ragu, praising it for its delicious flavors and textures. She kept raving about it, and even I had to agree, it was truly excellent! We also enjoyed a refreshing Iced Caramel Macchiato, which was a bit on the sweeter side for me.The sourdough bread at Anna's is a real highlight. The bread that accompanied our soup and steak was fantastic, and we particularly loved the black garlic spread. Kitty even went back for a second serving, and the staff were kind enough to give us another one!Overall, Anna's is a great choice for a casual and delicious dinner in Punggol. The service was excellent, the ambiance was cozy, and the prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food. Anna's feels like an Orchard or city-style restaurant housed in a unique setting within Oasis Terrace. We're giving this establishment a 5-star rating for its delicious food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere.

Had the tomato soup with sourdough and monthly special matcha and espresso drink. Nice ambience with alfresco dining area and brunch menu. Their menu highlights the sourdoughs and some soups from Soup Spoon itself. Reasonably priced too. Love that its right at the park connector. Great for lazy weekend brunches.

I frequent Anna’s and have always enjoyed my visits there. The sourdough is exceptional; the flavor is well-balanced, and the texture is exactly what I’m hoping for. I particularly enjoy the sourdough with steak and eggs—it pairs so well with their specialty butter and sambal. The variety of sourdough-based dishes is impressive; I’d love to try everything on the menu. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and attentive 👍🏻Please consider opening an outlet in the east! 🙏🏻

When the food item's name has "BIG" in all capital letters you better believe it. They weren't kidding and it was a very large portion for their big breakfast that tasted absolutely delicious. Their sourdough is really good and the butter was really unique and delicious as well. The individual components were all cooked well and overall highly recommend the big breakfast if you have a big appetite.

Came here on a Sunday at 1145am and we managed to get a table immediately. Service was efficient and the food arrived quickly. The food portions are large and tasty. We had the French onion soup with generous portions of cheese, and the Veggie-All-In was a huge serving. Lovely ambience. Will come back again!

They sell seriously good sourdough bread! It’s not cheap at $24 per loaf but the loaf is gigantic and also very good! You get to try several flavours, before picking your favourite.Sourdough pastas were good too. Very large portions and moreish tasting. Service was excellent. A nice dinner in the heartlands. Will be back for pizzas

The receptionist who greeted us did not tell us that the dinner menu would turn up in their system at 5pm. We arrived before 5pm and was wondering whether they only had bakery stuff and drink available. We had to ask another waitress what happened before we were told. That same receptionist also brought us to our table, and told us that she would bring the baby chair after we have ordered. What kind of service is that? We checked the menu in front of her before decided to tell her that we will be eating here, yet she still did that. To me that's just poor service.Food wise it was relatively good. Definitely above average. We had the soup in sourdough bread, but the bread was on the tough to bite side. Would be better if the bread was softer. Carbonara is definitely a must try.Price was acceptable for the location, vibe, and food, but the service by the receptionist definitely lacking. Maybe just lack of training, or had a bad day.Overall, a good place to try, if we are talking just about the food and environment.

A nice place for brunch. Good options for vegetarians and they are halal too.Seems to be very under staffed. Food is served at different timing for different table. So there will be waiting at table without food. Though shortage of staff, all staff tried their best to deliver the service and product. While in the queue, they offer to sample their sourdough. Thumbs up! Keep you the good job!Should consider to offer sourdough waffles or pancakes 🙂

came here specially because it just opened, couldn't help but be a little skeptical when we realised it is opened by the owner of soup spoon. you can see packaged soup spoon soups for sale here. we like soup spoon, just didn't know if we should be expecting soup spoon quality here. we were pleasantly surprised: food was above average though I wouldn't call it mind blowing. my steak and eggs was nicely medium though it could be more charred, I especially loved the black garlic butter that came with the steak. my partner loved her avocado toast – said it was 10/10. I don't really know how to appreciate sourdough but it was definitely tasty and I finished mine that came with the steak even though I wasn't really planning to. there were different types of sourdough for sale, and also some delicious looking pastries. flat white was surprisingly above average too. would rate it 4.5 stars, 0.5 deducted for the broken sunny side up and the char of the steak. also appreciate the alfresco area.
